Bookings

To ensure that you and your canine companion receive adequate attention, our class sizes are small - only 6-8 dogs. Therefore you will need to register your interest in joining CBS Inc as there is only a limited intake of dogs each term. To secure a place in one of our programs, complete the relevant paperwork (see register your interest above) and forward together will full payment of School fees (see Fees, below) to PO Box 1024, Firle, SA 5070.  Our Head Instructor will then contact you with your class details.

Please note that if this is your first program at CBS, we request that you do not bring your dog to the introductory first class.  More details about this will be given to you by the Head Instructor on receipt of your details and payment.

Fees

Fees may be paid by cheque, money order or bank transfer.

¨      $60 for the first term undertaken in 2010 – this will include the Train at Home Guide (an 80+ page book that has been written specifically to follow the course curriculum and will remind you of those things you have learned in class)

¨      $45 per term thereafter

¨       Students who undertake the Gold class will need to pay $60 for their first Gold term. This will include the Gold Train at Home Guide.  $45 per term thereafter

Vaccinations

Your dog must be fully vaccinated against canine distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus and a vaccination certificate or recent antibody titre results must be shown when you enrol.

Equipment

All dogs must be on a lead no greater than 1.2 metres in length. We recommend brushed polyester webbing or similar for your comfort, preferably with a loop at the handler end for added security.

Your dog may wear a flat (buckle) collar, a martingale (also known as a limited slip collar), a head halter, or a harness.  We use and recommend Sense-ible & Sense-ation front attach harnesses (available through the School) in preference to a head halter or a back attach harness.  Our rationale will be explained at your introductory talk.

Choke/correction chains, prong collars and electronic (shock) collars are not permitted.
